MW4 DMZ / FIELD NOTES

MW4 DMZ blueprints: claim the first copy and check the rebuild cost

Before spending raid money on attachment slots, inspect the weapon blueprints you already own. Geeky Pastimes walks through an initial free redemption at the FOB Gunsmith, then the price of buying another copy. The useful distinction is between a first claim, an unlocked blueprint and a replacement weapon.

Verify these notes against your current build before you rely on them.

Reach the DMZ Gunsmith

At 0:47, Geeky Pastimes identifies DMZ level 10 as the Gunsmith unlock. This is DMZ progression, separate from multiplayer rank. At your FOB, find the station near the firing range, interact with it and open the weapon purchase menu. His walkthrough starts with weapons already in his stash or loadout.

Count the slot and the attachment separately

The source's 1:21 example adds a third slot for 10,000, then charges 6,887 for the selected attachment. At 1:39 a fifth slot alone costs 50,000. One custom five-attachment build reaches roughly 135,000 at 2:45. These figures explain why checking an owned build first matters; they are not universal prices for every weapon.

A manual and a blueprint do different jobs

From 1:55 he explains that found weapon manuals unlock base guns for purchase. At 3:20 he has an M4 blueprint despite lacking its manual. An owned weapon blueprint is a preset build; a weapon manual opens its base-weapon purchase path. Neither is a 3D-printer recipe for crafting an equipment item.

Open the owned build and inspect the total

From 3:04 he looks for the blueprint symbol beside a weapon, then opens its available builds. His M4 example is Inner Circuit. At 3:38 the first eligible copy has a free build cost, and after confirmation it appears in his stash with five attachments. Read the total before holding the confirmation button.

Check your own entitlement

At 4:08 he also describes Beta Forged from beta progression. Which builds appear depends on what the account owns and which rewards it earned. His comments about preorder, edition and multiple-platform copies include uncertainty. They do not establish that every account gets two rifles or that repeating an account action creates another entitlement.

The free claim does not make replacements free

At 4:29 he explains that subsequent copies carry a build cost. His example is around 88,000 for another blueprint weapon, cheaper than his comparison with a custom build but still expensive. Owning a blueprint and owning a physical copy in your stash are different states. Budget for replacing the gun if you lose it.

What we have not verified

We have not independently redeemed or purchased these builds in the current game. In a separate source, TheGigaDad reports an apparently free Volt Spine AK claim taking funds. That is an unverified reported problem, not proof every blueprint is affected. Check your balance and current price rather than treating the word free as a tested guarantee.

Source briefing and Wing Mait relevance

Source: Geeky Pastimes, linked above. This report comes from silent review of its automatic captions. The menu labels, ownership state and build-cost confirmation are the important screen-reading cues. Wing Mait support for MW4 DMZ is still in development; we are not claiming automatic purchase guidance or blueprint callouts in the released app.
