MW4 DMZ / FIELD NOTES
MW4 DMZ regain strategy: rebuild from a free loadout and get the loot home
A lost kit does not mean the next raid needs an expensive buy-in. TheSpazo starts with a free loadout, finds a bigger bag and follows keys into better loot. His successful run also shows where a regain can become a much riskier boss fight. Here is the useful sequence, with the reported cash return kept in context.

Quick card
- Start
- Free loadout, one-plate vest; replace weak weapons with useful finds
- First target
- Train containers for a bigger bag, keys and supplies
- Next decision
- Use a relevant key if the approach is manageable; bosses are optional
- Leave when
- Useful kit is secured or armor and ammunition stop supporting the next fight
- Reported return
- About 100,000 for the raid; 114,000 closing balance is not a verified net profit
Start with a kit you can afford to lose
At 0:47 TheSpazo sets the goal: turn a free loadout into useful weapons, recipes and valuables. He starts with one plate and picks up an attached weapon from the ground at 1:06. That is the practical reset: use what the raid gives you before paying to rebuild the perfect gun. He wants to return to the FOB to fit attachments after extracting, rather than treating Gunsmith spending as the first step.
Reach the train, then sort the bag off it
The immediate need at 1:16 is more carrying space. He moves to intercept the train instead of waiting for it, since another operator may loot it first. At 5:45 he says nobody is aboard, then finds a medium bag, keys and supplies. At 5:59 he postpones reading the keys until he is off the train. Loot promptly, then stop somewhere safer to decide what is actually worth carrying. An unoccupied train in this run does not make the next one uncontested.
Let the keys change the plan
At 7:01 he reads the key descriptions and switches from a general train-and-compounds plan to locked rooms. One key points to an armory in a casino's underground parking; another describes an upper-floor high-security server room at grid G6. Follow the item card in your own match. At 9:53 he acknowledges that finding keys depends on luck. If you do not get these keys, this exact branch is unavailable. Check other loot or leave with the kit already gained.
Treat bosses as an optional escalation
The original plan included compounds and possibly a lieutenant for an attached weapon. Instead, he encounters the Doctor around 12:50, then a lieutenant in the server-room sequence at 18:18. At 15:09 he says he is now tracked and expects operators to come toward him. This is a substantial change in exposure for someone still using one plate. The two kills belong to this run's outcome; they are not two mandatory steps in a basic regain.
The server-room door is not dependable cover
At 18:33 he notices enemies are not shooting through the server-room door and uses that moment to fight. At 19:31 he repeats the observation, then says at 19:36 that they are now shooting. That reversal is the useful warning. Do not build a regain around the claim that a door prevents AI fire. Keep real cover and a retreat available, and reassess when defenders move or their behavior changes.
Stop adding fights when the ammunition runs out
The server-room detour becomes a fight with sentry guns. At 21:07 he runs out of ammunition, grabs another weapon with a little ammo and leaves. By 21:55 he is choosing an extraction point. At 22:16 he admits he had not planned to kill two lieutenants, and at 22:45 he still wants a two-plate vest after returning. A stronger gun does not erase weak armor. Treat falling ammo and a nearly lost fight as reasons to bank the regain.
Separate the haul from the closing cash balance
At 24:04 he expects around 50,000 before selling items, and later attributes the reward to dog tags. The captioned result and starting-balance commentary are unclear. At 25:11 he calls it about a 100,000 raid and reports a balance of 114,000. Those are the creator's figures; 114,000 is a closing balance, not a verified net profit. We have not audited the results screen, every sale or the exact change in banked cash.
What this route does not guarantee
TheSpazo says he completed this run without PvP. That describes one match, not a safe mode: the train, key rooms, tracking and extraction can all bring operators into the route. The captions also leave some place names unclear and do not establish exact room entrances, key drop rates or recipe drops. Use the current item descriptions and map, and be ready to abandon a branch when the fight no longer suits the kit.
