WARDOGS / FIELD NOTES

Artillery garages and roof access

A garage should shelter the vehicle without trapping its gun or crew. HitboTC's October 1 design adds a fast change from artillery to rooftop air defence.

Start with the firing platform

HitboTC starts with an Indirect Fire Shelter floor, expands the shell and arranges overhead bunkers before opening the vehicle bay. Leave enough room to reverse and traverse the gun. RadioGLHF's earlier garage notes warn that contact with the ceiling or gate can force the barrel down or trap it.

Protect the crew's route as well

The roof carries a Talon and CIWS position with cover for the controller. HitboTC replaces a side wall with a repair station and adds blocks near the rear parking corner so exiting the artillery places the character on the roof. Treat that exit behaviour as something to test, not a guaranteed escape.

Check clearances before live fire

Reverse in, exit, climb back down and check both low and high gun angles before committing supplies. Keep sightlines open for the air-defence operator. The creator recommends two people so one watches the sky while the other fires; neither the roof nor that division of work makes the base invulnerable.
