WARDOGS / FIELD NOTES

A budget pistol start

SomeKindaDog's October 1 footage starts with a cheap pistol kit, then upgrades from recovered equipment. The useful idea is limiting the cost of a failed life.

Buy a starting kit, not the whole endgame

The creator describes a roughly $3,000 to $4,000 pistol setup with HP ammunition, using the 1911 or Deagle before taking a defeated player's kit. That cost is a recorded example, not today's shop price. Set a budget you can afford to lose and keep room for useful loot.

The HP catch still applies

The footage leans on shots to exposed legs and on enemies who have not healed fully. It does not establish a universal two-shot or one-shot kill. SirSmoken's separate tests show why armour coverage matters. If you cannot reach those hitboxes, reposition or use a more flexible ammo choice.

Secure the area before upgrading

A better rifle on a body is only useful if you survive collecting it. Check nearby angles, reload and heal, then take the weapon, compatible ammo and supplies you need. The source includes infantry-focused matches, so its risk profile does not transfer unchanged to heavy-vehicle fighting.
