WARDOGS / FIELD NOTES

WARDOGS Season 2 building costs: what your FOB costs now

Season 2 changed what almost every part of a FOB costs, and which supply run you plan around. Mortars cost four times as much, Talons and CIWS got cheaper, and three new buildables arrived. We read the patch notes alongside three builders who tested them, and added what a pallet or crate actually holds so you can plan the run before you load the Ural.

Closed beta figures. Verify against your current build before you rely on them.

What changed in the build menu

These are the Season 2 build costs as the Wing Mait team read them off the in-game build menu, set beside the patch-note figures SC Haulers read out. The numbers are build supplies, not cash. The menu charges the smaller figure; the patch notes list the larger number. Our base builder uses the menu price, because that is what you pay. The menu price works out as four fifths of the patch-note figure, plus one. The Bremer wall is the one piece that misses the pattern: the menu says 27 where the sum gives 26, and we show the 27 we saw. Parts we have not yet seen in the Season 2 menu (the FOB itself and the bunker floor and roof pieces) we treat as unchanged until someone shows us otherwise. The Loudspeaker rose from 81 to 161 too. One mapping is ours: the notes say crow's nest, and we read that as the Recon Tower. Treat that row as assumed.

The three new buildables

Season 2 adds an MG nest, a Large shelter and a Wooden step. The nest gives you a manned M2 Browning. The shelter covers your equipment and gets you out of the rain; RadioGLHF describes it as modular and multi-floor. The step is a step, made of wood. None of our sources gives a size for any of them. Our base builder lists all three with their costs but does not let you place them until someone measures them in game, because we would rather leave a gap than invent a footprint.

Running costs: restocks and slower firing

Cheaper to place is not cheaper to run. A Talon restock now takes 200 munition supplies, up from 50, and the reload is slower. A mortar restock takes 150, up from 75, and a new animation where you drop the shell into the tube slows the rate of fire. So the mortar is dearer to build, dearer to feed and slower to fire. We would plan the ammunition pallet alongside the build pallet now, not after it. If you want the firing side, our mortar guides and calculator are the place to start.

How many build supplies fit in a pallet or crate

This is the planning number most builders ask for. The figures below are the Season 1 capacities from Wardogs Zone, WardogsHub and wardogs.fit. The Season 2 patch notes we read list no change to them, so we use them as they stand and say so each time. A Ural carries two build pallets, so one Ural run is 3,600 build supplies. The machine gun Wolf holds one large crate, per SC Haulers. Armoured crates exist too: $500 for a small one and $800 for a large one. SC Haulers lists mechanical, ammo and fuel pallets as needing an unlock now (level 5 and $10,000, level 9 and $25,000, level 16 and $50,000); build pallets were not on that list.

What one pallet buys now

At the in-game menu prices, one 1,800 pallet covers the following. We did the sums from the table above, so check them against your own menu before a long run. Notice that a mortar and a Vanguard CIWS together cost only 1,442, and even a Talon with a CIWS (1,482) fits one pallet, leaving about 320. Walls, shelters and towers come out of that, so count again for your full base.

The cash side

Season 2 pays less for hauling and more for protecting a stocked FOB, with streaks to claw some back. Per SC Haulers, base delivery pay was cut roughly in half, and a streak bonus builds with each delivery in a row, up to ten. RadioGLHF measured the pallet bonus climbing back toward the Season 1 figure after about ten drops. A stocked FOB is also a bigger prize for the other side: destroying one pays up to $7,500 and 250 XP, reaching the maximum at 25,000 stored supplies. Hacking pays the hacker $2,500 and teammates in the radius $1,000, and closing a friendly FOB door pays $75. Selling from a supply crate has diminishing returns per buyer.

Hammers, doors and the Halligan

Hammers can no longer breach doors or gates. The Halligan does both, and it pays $100 once per door for breaching it. The medium hammer does less work per swing and the critical spot bonus is smaller; SC Haulers thinks that applies to every hammer, and the large hammer's swing is unchanged. RadioGLHF felt building take roughly 20 percent longer, which is his estimate, not a published number. Two rule changes help the planning. Sandbags and barbed wire can now go on top of Bremer walls, which is how you stop people simply climbing them. And an unfinished structure collapses if its support is lost, so build from the ground up and finish the supports first. KingpinFTW also notes that placing a Bremer framework alone costs just one supply, handy for setting an alignment.

What it means for builders

Here is how we read the numbers. The Vanguard CIWS and the Talon are the cheap pieces now, so an anti-air layer is easier to afford than it was, as long as you can pay for Talon restocks. The mortar and the Stingray are the expensive ones, so choose one and place it deliberately. Doors cost 65 and gates 161, so count entrances by raid route and not by habit. The bigger shift is the run. A base that was one cheap delivery in Season 1 can be a full pallet or two now. We plan the build pallet first, then the ammo pallet, then spares for repairs. Our base builder shows your total in supplies and in pallets, large crates, small crates and Ural loads, so you can see the number of trips before you start.

A worked example: Wake Up's V4 solo and duo FOB

Wake Up's V4 is the Season 2 rebuild of his solo and duo FOB. His budget is one Ural, one build pallet and one ammo pallet. The base is a raised FOB inside Bremer walls and Hesco walls, an Indirect Fire Shelter in the middle, a Recon Tower with a ladder, a Talon on the tower ringed by Bremers and large Hescos, a door sealed with two small Hescos because a third large Hesco would break the stack limit, and a mortar pit floated back with walls. He measures about 650 metres of mortar range in every direction, up from about 550 in V3. In his run that all comes off one build pallet. We checked that at menu prices. The named pieces, a Talon (521), a mortar (481), an Indirect Fire Shelter (161), a Recon Tower (161) and a door (65), come to 1,389, and the FOB itself adds 30 (a price we have not seen in the menu), so 1,419. That leaves about 380 of the 1,800 for walls, which is 14 Bremers at 27. He has not itemised the full wall ring, so we cannot confirm every piece, but one pallet is plausible and in line with his claim. We would still bring spares for repairs and the optional hedgehogs and barbed wire. Two of his tips are worth keeping: wait a second against a wall before jumping, because a full energy jump is much higher than an exhausted one, and leave sandbags under the tower windows unbuilt for extra elevation.

Sources and what we are unsure of

The menu prices come from the Wing Mait team reading the in-game build menu on 17 October 2026, so they are first-hand; the patch-note figures come from SC Haulers. A few parts we have not seen in the menu (the FOB itself, the bunker floor and roof) stay at their old value, and the patch-note figure for the Loudspeaker is our own derivation. RadioGLHF and KingpinFTW tested the changes in play, and Wake Up's V4 is the working example. The container capacities come from Wardogs Zone, WardogsHub and wardogs.fit, all Season 1 values. Our own base builder uses the same numbers and says which ones are estimates. If your menu shows a different number for any part, tell us on Discord and we will fix it. We would rather be right than first.
