MW4 DMZ / FIELD NOTES
MW4 DMZ Re-Education Center loot route in Deadtown
IceManIsaac calls the Re-Education Center in Deadtown one of the best loot and XP spots in DMZ, especially solo: enemies with no armour, dense loot and a locked room he calls the propaganda room. His 15 minute video is embedded just below, so please watch it. This page is the organised companion: the five keys he shows, the order he works the building in, the southern Deadtown houses and the black market, the car out, and where we have put all of it on our Hajin map. The run is his and we have not tested it.

The short version
IceManIsaac, who runs IceManIsaac Academy on YouTube, says this is a spot you want in your loot rotation. The place is the Re-Education Center in Deadtown on the Hajin map. His pitch has three parts: lots of enemies but none of them armoured, so it is all one taps and good for levelling weapons; dense loot, with weapon XP for the gun you loot with; and several rooms behind keys that he says spawn where you can find them, including an underground propaganda room. We have not run it. What follows is what he says and what we could read from his on-screen text, with the places pinned on our Hajin map. The run in his order: walk into the Re-Education Center, work the underground dormitory, find the Underground Propaganda Store Room key on a desk upstairs, open the annex, open the store room and pick a cell, then go out through the southern Deadtown houses to a black market, take a car north and leave by helicopter. If you came looking for the propaganda centre: the game calls the building the Re-Education Center, and Underground Propaganda Store Room is the name of one locked room inside it.

Before you queue
Isaac plays solo. His raid carries the Operation Iron Citadel story mission on the HUD (Approach the Air Base), the same mission as our Iron Citadel gold key guide, and he says he stops at the Re-Education Center whenever a mission pulls him this way. The radiation countdown reads 29:50 at 0:10, so he is already in. He walks in carrying a purple Re-Education Center Annex key (B7). He says he first came to burn a purple key and some blue keys on locked rooms in the village. On the HUD the Re-Education Center shows a Medium threat bar and Deadtown a Low one, which matches the threat table in our Hajin map guide. Isaac says the enemies are densely packed but have no armour, "segmented inside of this little maze", so you are not overwhelmed. The video was uploaded on 26 October 2026. Patches can change keys, spawns and loot, and we have not checked this against a newer build.
The run, step by step
Times are video times. The video is cut, so the radiation clock on screen jumps. The right-hand column is what he says or what we read on screen, not something we have confirmed in our own raids.
| Time | Step | What he says or what we saw |
|---|---|---|
| 0:10 | Walk into the Re-Education Center with the purple Annex key already in the inventory. | Item card Re-Education Center Annex, Epic, B7. |
| 2:31 | The Underground Propaganda Store Room door is locked. | Prompt: Underground Propaganda Store Room, locked. A second door reads secured on the inside. |
| 2:50-4:47 | Underground dormitory: an APOC-338 in a rifle case, a Medium Weapon Backpack, painkillers, and a duffel with a key. | Item card Counting Room Vault, Epic, F4 (4:20). "That's actually a pretty good key." (4:23). |
| 6:20 | Upstairs hall with a long table and a chandelier: a key on a desk. | Key card Underground Propaganda Store Room, Rare. His on-screen note: found every time he has been here, spawns randomly, not always this desk. |
| 6:50-7:30 | The caged annex building. | Nylon Cloth, a Control Unit and, at 7:29, a red Odin with an underbarrel shotgun. |
| 7:45 | Back at the store room door: unlocked. | Prompt: Underground Propaganda Store Room, unlocked. |
| 8:00-9:15 | Inside the store room he pulls a lever, which jams the alternative levers, and picks a cell. | A safe, a locker and ammo box, Armor Plate, Nylon Cloth and a Blackmarket Weapons Locker key (9:10). |
| 9:35-9:40 | A southern Deadtown house: a blue duffel. | Item card Air Base DRC Weapons Locker, red, B6. A second Counting Room Vault key shows at 9:40. |
| 12:10-12:45 | A black market in west Deadtown. | A Care Package and a Proximity Mine; he has two black market keys and saves them for another raid. |
| 13:20-14:40 | A car north, past the Deadtown exfil point, to a helicopter. | Banner Exfil departing (14:40). |
| 14:55-15:05 | Extraction successful and the raid summary. | His summary screen and his words about the haul (see the haul section). |
The keys: annex, store room, vault and black market
Five keys appear on screen. The names below are the game's own item cards and door prompts. Isaac does not say where he got the Annex key and carried it in. The store room key he found on a desk and says it spawns randomly. The black market key shows up in the store room area, and the DRC and vault keys came from duffels. One correction on our own site: our keys layer already had a Counting Room Vault entry at the Heavenly Luck Casino with "how: not stated", and a Blackmarket Weapons Locker door in west Deadtown. This video gave both of them a key source, and we added the Annex, the store room and the Air Base DRC locker as new doors.
| Key | Tier on the card | Where it turns up in the video | What it opens, per the card |
|---|---|---|---|
| Re-Education Center Annex (B7) | Epic | Already in his inventory (0:10, 5:05). | The annex attached to the ground floor of the Re-Education Center. |
| Underground Propaganda Store Room | Rare | A desk in an upstairs hall (6:20). | The store room door seen locked at 2:31 and unlocked at 7:45. |
| Counting Room Vault (F4) | Epic | A dormitory duffel (4:20), and a second card at 9:40. | The counting room vault in the Heavenly Luck Casino, Cheongun Village. |
| Blackmarket Weapons Locker | Rare | In the store room area (9:10). | Weapons lockers in black markets in southern Deadtown and Hanrim Village. |
| Air Base DRC Weapons Locker (B6) | Red | A blue duffel in a southern Deadtown house (9:37). | The DRC weapons locker in the secure armory deep in the Chang-san Air Base bunker. |
Inside the Re-Education Center
Isaac walks the ground floor and basement first. The building is a maze of cells and stairs, and he says the enemies are kept apart in it, which is why he calls it easy to farm. He picks up an energy drink and a printed circuit board early. Down in the underground dormitory, with its bunks and cells, he finds an APOC-338 (a Rare LMG), a Medium Weapon Backpack in a Military Locker and painkillers, and a duffel gives the Counting Room Vault key. He says it is crazy how many random places on the map have loot you would never find without a key to go and look. The store room door is locked when he first passes it at 2:31. He goes upstairs, finds the key on a desk in a hall with a long wooden table, microphones and a chandelier, and comes back. His own on-screen note says he has found that key every time, that it spawns randomly and that it is not always the same desk. The annex is a caged building outside. He is about 99 percent sure it is the annex at 6:50, opens it with the Epic key and finds Nylon Cloth, a Control Unit in a green weapons locker and a red Odin with an underbarrel shotgun. Back at the store room there are cells with levers: pulling one lever jams the alternatives, so you choose one cell. He picks the cell with a safe, a locker and a box. The safe reads Regional Combat Notes, there is an ammo box and a W.M.D. Manifest, and then an Armor Plate, Nylon Cloth and the Blackmarket Weapons Locker key. His reaction at 8:47 is "gold", but we could not see what item he meant.
Southern Deadtown and the black market
Leaving the Re-Education Center, the HUD changes to Deadtown. In a house in southern Deadtown a blue duffel gives the red Air Base DRC Weapons Locker key, and he says "I called it" (9:32 to 9:40). A second Counting Room Vault key shows a moment later. Our Chang-san bunker guide covers the bunker armory that DRC key belongs to, and its run was patched on 25 October 2026. The next stretch is houses and shops: Electronic Sensors, Rigid Synthetics in a duffel, a cash register and a hall with red curtains. At 10:12 a game voice warns him that he is approaching the SAM site and that a UAV tower is tracking him. The registered track puts the SAM voice near our SAM Site Deadtown point. At 12:10 he is in a black market room in west Deadtown. A Care Package and a Proximity Mine are in the lockers he opens (12:15, 12:20). He says he has two black market keys but already has good guns, and that he will run back and hit it next time. That position lands on our existing Blackmarket Weapons Locker (west) pin. On the farming side, our 3D printer farming guide has a Deadtown hillside run of six buildings from Eakr, and the two overlap on Deadtown ground.

Getting out
Isaac says the only extract is "kind of ass" and he has to make it work (13:09). He takes a car north from southern Deadtown (13:28, "Hey, that's my car"), checks whether a Polaris or a jeep could chase him, and drives past the Deadtown exfil point, which his tac map at 13:50 puts on our field layer marker. At 14:40 the banner reads Exfil departing, with a helicopter and his car beside it in the North Korean Wilderness, and at 14:55 the extraction succeeds. On our map the last step sits at the Chang-san Air Base exfil on our field layer. His registered minimap track ends about 90 map pixels from it, and the forest around it gave too few matches to be sure, so we mark that step as an area. Exfil timers, SAM sites and the other mechanics around a run like this are in our IceManIsaac 30+ tips guide.
The haul, and where the sources disagree
His summary screen shows 1 Valuable Item Collected, 4 Keys, 11 Printer Ingredients, 290 Printer Resources and 8 Epic Items, with a loadout value of $71.75K. He says that even without the purple key he came in for, the place was insane, about 70,000 of backpack loot, not counting that he got two keys. That is one run and his figures, and we promise no payout. It reads differently next to his other video. In our Iron Citadel gold key guide he fast-looted the South Block Armory twice and says "both times it was kind of underwhelming", and wondered whether rooms opened early in a raid hold worse loot. Here he calls this place insane and some of the best conditions for a loot route. Both statements are his, and they are about different places. There is a second disagreement on spawns. Isaac says many points of interest on the map have guaranteed key spawns, and that this room key spawns randomly. Eakr, in our 3D printer farming guide, says spawns across the six buildings of the Deadtown hillside run are not guaranteed. They are different items, and neither of us has tested the other's. Our farming guide also lists a Deadtown underground holding area as a printer hint for Nylon Cloth, a community transcription. Isaac shows Nylon Cloth at the Re-Education Center (9:09), which fits that hint. For a very different Hajin route, see our compound loot farm guide.

On the map
The Hajin map now carries this run in two places. The Keys layer has three new doors, the Annex, the Underground Propaganda Store Room and the Air Base DRC Weapons Locker, four new key sources, and updated entries for the Counting Room Vault and the west Deadtown black market. The Routes list has Re-Education Center propaganda room loot route, a nine-step route with step cards that open this page at the right section. We placed the points by matching Isaac's minimap and the open tac map in his video to our Official skin. That is good to a building and not to a room, and inside the Re-Education Center several steps sit within about 40 map pixels of each other, so we draw those as area rings. The path is calculated by our route tool over the map. The drive north is clear; the legs inside the building are a drawing aid and not his footsteps. The route confidence is low where we say area.

What we checked, and where Wing Mait fits
We have not played this route. "Dense loot", "no armour", "easy XP", "spawns randomly" and the 70,000 figure are Isaac's claims. The key names and the order of the keys are our reading of his item cards and door prompts. Where a caption was unclear, such as the "gold" at 8:47, we say so. We did not use the automated summary on the video page, and we did not copy any footage. One cross-check we could run ourselves: his black market stop registers onto our existing Blackmarket (west) pin, and the 13:50 drive registers onto our Deadtown exfil point. Patches can change any of this. Everything here is on-screen text: key cards, door prompts, the HUD and the exfil banner. Reading that text is what Wing Mait does, so a callout can tell you which key you just picked up without you looking away. DMZ support is in development, and Wing Mait doesn't read game memory, inject anything or send inputs to the game.

Questions people ask
Quick answers about the Re-Education Center loot route, from IceManIsaac's video.
Is there a propaganda centre in MW4 DMZ?
The building in the video is the Re-Education Center in Deadtown. Underground Propaganda Store Room is the name of one locked room inside it.
What key opens the Underground Propaganda Store Room?
A Rare key with the same name. IceManIsaac found it on a desk in an upstairs hall and says it spawns randomly and is not always on that desk.
What is the Annex key for?
The card says it unlocks the annex attached to the ground floor of the Re-Education Center. It is an Epic key, B7.
Where does the Counting Room Vault key open?
The card says the counting room's vault in the Heavenly Luck Casino in Cheongun Village. He found two in this run.
Is this a gold key route?
No. The video's tags mention gold spawns, but the keys he shows are the Annex, store room, vault, black market and DRC keys. Our Iron Citadel gold key guide covers the gold key.
Is the route patched?
We do not know. We have not tested it, and the video went up on 26 October 2026.
