MW4 DMZ / FIELD NOTES
MW4 DMZ secret loot rooms: five hidden rooms on Hajin, pinned on our map
Incredilags posted a DMZ video about secret loot rooms on Hajin: find a key card in the open world, carry it to a locked door and the room behind it pays out better loot. His full video is embedded just below, and this page is the organised companion to it, so please watch it too. He plays two raids that start at Compound Echo and end at Songdo Wharf, and four rooms show up on screen. A day later TheRealGhost posted a Short about a fifth room at the Rice Mill, which you reach through a window instead of a key, and we have added it with his Short embedded in that section. We went through both videos frame by frame, pinned the rooms we could place on our own Hajin map and wrote down what each key says, where the door is and what was behind it.

- Medium at Compound Echo and the Rice Mill, Low at Songdo Wharf, Critical at Hanex Bank on our map
The five rooms at a glance
A secret loot room here is a locked room that opens with a key card you pick up in the open world, or, in the Rice Mill room, a window you can reach from a roof. Incredilags shows two raids. Both start at Compound Echo in Hajin River Heights, and the second ends on a helicopter at Songdo Pier. He names four rooms on screen and walks into two of them. For two of those four we only see the key. TheRealGhost's Short adds a fifth room at the Rice Mill. The table says which is which, and each pin says how sure we are.
| Room | Where | Key card | On camera | Our pin |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gangbyeon Apartment B | Door at roof level inside Compound Echo, Hajin River Heights | G7, Uncommon | Entered in both raids | 1, medium confidence |
| Old Barber Shop | South side of Songdo Wharf, next to the crab shack | I7, Rare | Entered once | 2, medium confidence |
| Hanex Guard Station | Upper floor near the Hanex Bank vault, The Grid | G6, Epic | Key picked up, room not shown | 3, area only |
| The Grid side access doors | Perimeter wall of The Grid | The Grid Side Access, Uncommon | Key picked up, doors not shown | No pin |
| Comms Station Six | Upper level of the Rice Mill, Imjin Farmland, through a window below the roof | No key card shown, entered through a window | Entered once | 5, low confidence |
Where the rooms are on Hajin
Compound Echo is the military base at the north edge of the Hajin River Heights district. Activision's own map has a marker for it, and in the footage the compass banner reads Compound Echo with a MEDIUM threat tag. Gangbyeon Apartment B is inside it. The Old Barber Shop is on the south side of Songdo Wharf, the harbour on the east coast, where the banner reads LOW. The Hanex Guard Station and The Grid side doors are in The Grid, the walled city blocks in the middle of the map, where Hanex Bank is rated Critical. The Rice Mill is the industrial mill compound in Imjin Farmland, the rice fields in the south-south-west. The banner reads LOW in the fields and MEDIUM at the mill. We laid pins 1 and 2 by registering the rotating minimap in his footage on the Official skin of our Hajin map, then picking the building. Pins 1 and 2 are accurate to a building, not surveyed. Pin 3 only marks the area. Pin 5 comes from the full map screen in TheRealGhost's Short, which we matched to the Official skin by its landmarks: the Rice Mill marker on his screen lands 5 pixels from the Rice Mill marker on our map. We then put the pin at his map ping, which marks the foot of the drainpipe he climbs, not the room, so pin 5 is low confidence. The in-game cards carry grid tags (G7, I7, G6) but we haven't matched that grid to our map frame, so we give the tag and the pin separately.

Room 1: Gangbyeon Apartment B, how to get in
Key: the Gangbyeon Apartment B card, an Uncommon item worth $100. Its text reads "G7 - Provides access to Gangbyeon Apartment B within the Hajin River Heights compound Echo". Incredilags finds one on a desk in the compound's apartment blocks at 3:10 in his first raid, and picks up a second at 9:44 in his second raid. Keys turn up in a different spot each time, so read the pickup line. The door is at roof level, a grey steel door beside a sandbag wall. With the key in your pack the prompt reads "GANGBYEON APARTMENT B - UNLOCK" (4:24), and once it is open it changes to "STRONGHOLD UNLOCKED" (4:26, and again at 10:50). In the second raid he climbs a stairwell (10:32) and crosses the rooftop (10:40 to 10:48) to reach it.
Room 1: what was behind the Apartment B door
Behind the door a stairwell drops through the building's floors. The footage doesn't show where the walls of Apartment B end, so these are the items he loots between the roof door and the Side Op completing. First raid (4:34 to 6:24): a footlocker with a 2-Plate Helmet Armor Vest (Epic plate carrier, $2,500) at 4:42, a military bag with Reactive Metals at 4:56, then a weapons locker with an S-Plate Armor Vest at 5:34 and an S-Plate Ballistic Gel Vest at 6:04. "SIDE OP COMPLETE: CLEAR THE MILITARY COMPOUND" shows at 6:24. Second raid (10:50 to 14:30): a Molotov Cocktail (11:38), Electrical Components (11:50), a Laptop (12:26), a Flash (12:38), a Medium Backpack from a supply crate (13:26), and then the prize, a weapons locker holding a 2-Plate Helmet Armor Vest recipe ($5,000, a 3D Printer recipe), a Control Unit and an Axion assault rifle, rarity Ultra, $12,300 (13:56 to 14:14). He takes the Axion. The recipe only counts if you extract.

Room 2: Old Barber Shop, how to get in
Key: the Old Barber Shop card, a Rare item worth $100. Its text reads "I7 - Unlocks the barber shop next to the crab shack on the south side of Songdo Wharf". He picks it up in the compound at 9:12 in his second raid, with a fallen soldier beside the loot. After the Apartment B stash he leaves Compound Echo, and by 14:34 he is on a roof looking over Songdo Wharf with a LOW banner. The prompt "OLD BARBER SHOP - UNLOCK" appears at 15:10 on a landing with a green exit sign and a checkered floor. Have the key in your pack when you reach the door.
Room 2: what was inside the Old Barber Shop
A small shop with pink Korean signage, a counter, a sofa and lockers. On camera: Armor Plates from the lockers (15:20), an Empty Can resource (15:26), a Rifle Case that held a W.M.D. Manifest (Epic, $5,000, "Can be extracted and sold in the FOB for cash") at 15:32, and a military locker with a Medium Backpack (15:38), a Decoy Grenade and Ballistic Flight Legs (15:44). Nothing here is Ultra, but it is a low-threat stop on the way out. He then takes the helicopter at Songdo Pier. The extraction summary lists 6 Valuable Items, 3 Epic Items, 1 Ultra Item, 2 Recipes, $12,350 banked cash and a $63,700 backpack and loadout value.

Room 3: Hanex Guard Station, key only
Key: the Hanex Guard Station card, an Epic item worth $100. Its text reads "G6 - Unlocks the guard station on an upper floor near the Hanex Bank vault within The Grid". He picks it up in the compound at 9:22 in his second raid. He never goes to The Grid, so we have no footage of the door or the room. The Grid is walled city blocks closed off by razor wire, and on our map Hanex Bank is rated Critical. Pin 3 marks the area, east of the Grid label, not the room. If you have seen the door, tell us.
Room 4: The Grid side doors, and a locked depot
Key: The Grid Side Access card, an Uncommon item worth $100. Its text reads "Provides access to the side access doors of The Grid perimeter wall". He finds it in a duffel at 12:36 in his second raid and doesn't use it on camera, so we can't say which doors or what is behind them. One more door is worth noting. In the first raid a stairwell door inside Compound Echo shows "MILITIA ARMS DEPOT - LOCKED" (7:08). No key for it appears in either raid, so we haven't counted it as a fifth room.

Room 5: Comms Station Six at the Rice Mill, how to get in
TheRealGhost's 71-second Short, posted on 24 October 2026, shows a room at the Rice Mill that he reaches without a key. His Short is embedded just below, so please watch it too. We went through it frame by frame. What we call seen is on camera, and what we call his claim is from his on-screen captions. The times are the Short's own clock. He opens in Imjin Farmland, where the banner reads LOW, and says the rice mill is another loot spot. On his in-game map a yellow ping sits at the lower left of the mill compound, and he says to stand at the bottom left-hand side of the building. At the wall the banner changes to RICE MILL, THREAT: MEDIUM (0:09). The route as shown: he climbs a copper drainpipe on that wall (0:09 to 0:15) and breaks a window on the first roof (0:18). He says there is usually a guy up top with an RPG, and we did not see one. Inside, a steel door reads "SECURED ON THE INSIDE - LOCKED", and he says you can't get into that room without a key (0:19 to 0:21). He leaves that door alone, hops back out and climbs a second drainpipe (0:22 to 0:25) onto the upper roof. His advice is to walk to the far edge, back off it and, as you start to fall, push forward while pressing mantle so you catch a window below (0:29 to 0:35). The room behind that window is labelled Comms Station Six on the compass (0:43).

Hidden Loot Room in DMZ You Need to See
Room 5: what was inside Comms Station Six, and the key he mentions
A workshop-style room with a fan, an oscilloscope-style monitor and green military cases. He opens a Rifle Case, and in that stretch (0:45 to 0:53) these show on screen: a P68 pistol (Common, $100), a Medium Secure Backpack recipe ($5,000, a 3D Printer recipe), Regional Combat Notes (Uncommon, $3,000, "Can be extracted and sold in the FOB for cash"), an Encrypted Archive (Rare, $4,000) and an Armor Plate. He says he has had decent luck with rare loot here. What spawns varies from raid to raid, so treat this as one raid's roll. His claim: the room holds a key with a 100% spawn rate for an explosives lab at the Rice Mill. The key card is not legible on screen in the footage we could decode, so we have not matched it to a card name. He says he knows four other locked doors at this spot and none of them is the lab, that he has spent many raids looking, and that he can't find anyone online who knows where the lab is. He asks viewers to help find it. We haven't found it either.

What we're unsure of
The count. Neither video gives a list of rooms. Five is the number of hidden rooms named on screen across the two: the four Incredilags names (he opens two of them) and the Rice Mill room TheRealGhost enters. The Rice Mill explosives lab would be a sixth, and so would the Militia Arms Depot, so we have counted neither. Whether the key is used up. In the second raid he carries a second Apartment B key and the door reads "STRONGHOLD UNLOCKED" when he arrives. We can't tell whether that is because of the key or because the door was already open. The title's promise. It says "Ultra Rarity Weapons, Blueprints, and Legendary Valuables". On camera we saw one Ultra item (the Axion), a recipe and Epic valuables, and no Legendary item in either raid. Pin accuracy. Pins 1 and 2 are medium confidence, pin 5 is low confidence and pin 3 is an area, not a building. The Rice Mill key and lab. Both are TheRealGhost's claims. We saw neither the key card nor the lab door, and the last 15 seconds of his Short are read from low-resolution preview frames, so we only paraphrase them. The Rice Mill route. It is one creator's route in one raid. We haven't checked that the window can always be reached, or whether the RPG guard he mentions is always there. How long this lasts. Key locations and loot tables can change with any patch.
Why this matters for Wing Mait
Everything in this guide is on-screen text: the key card lines, the door prompts, the Side Op banner, the compass names and the extraction summary. Reading that text is what Wing Mait does to call out what a squadmate would shout, so your eyes can stay on the stairwell. DMZ support is in development, and Wing Mait doesn't read game memory, inject anything or send inputs to the game. These rooms are patrolled by soldiers, and a player can walk into the same stairwell. Operator contact callouts, also in development, would read the minimap: a solid red diamond is an enemy operator and an outline is an NPC. That is the call you want before you open a roof door.
