MW4 DMZ / FIELD NOTES

MW4 DMZ Roze's key: the Nenshin Tech Complex armory in The Grid, five runs tested by Shirasu

寝恋しらす (Shirasu), a Japanese VTuber, farmed Roze's key five times and opened the armory it unlocks in the Nenshin Tech Complex, inside The Grid on Hajin. Her video is in Japanese and is embedded just below. Please watch it: the footage is hers, and this page is the organised English companion to it. We kept the game's own names, pinned what we can on our Hajin map, and marked what we could only read off low-resolution frames.

Watch her video first

寝恋しらす (Shirasu) is a Japanese VTuber who streams and posts DMZ shorts every day. In this video she takes Roze's key into the armory five times, solo, and shows what each run pays out. The video is in Japanese with on-screen text, the footage and the commentary are hers, and the numbers below are her sample. Please watch it and subscribe if you enjoy it. This page puts it in order for English readers: where the key comes from, how she gets to the door, what each run gave her and where the risks are.

The key and the armory at a glance

Roze is a black-clad female sniper Lieutenant. Kill her enough times and she can carry a key to a locked armory, which Shirasu uses on the other side of The Grid. Everything on this table comes from her video; the last column says how sure we are.

Roze's key and the armory it opens, as shown in Shirasu's video.

Step 1: farming Roze for the key

She suggests checking on the bosses as you pass, because DMZ places several of them at fixed spots on the map and announces them as you get close. Roze sits on the rooftop of DBN Headquarters, in the red-striped grid zone, and anyone who has been sniped while leaving The Grid has probably met her. Killing her drops THE KRAKEN, a sniper rifle she calls very strong in DMZ. The item she wants more is Roze's key: in her experience Roze carried it about once every 7 to 10 kills, and she farmed Roze repeatedly to collect five. A community page reports that Roze unlocks after the Underground DMZ Orders chapter. We haven't checked that ourselves.

Step 2: getting to the Nenshin Tech Complex

She plays solo and heads for the red-striped zone on the map, The Grid. Her infil is about 650 metres away, so she takes a car and says stowing your weapon lets you run faster. She notes that driving a sedan marks you as a PMC for sure, which makes her nervous, and she does it anyway. Her tip is to enter from the upper-left, north-west side of The Grid. From there the complex is close, and the blocks inside are full of strong enemies, so wandering is a bad idea. She drives the car in, walks into the building, ignores the one or two enemies near the entrance, and rides the elevator.

Base map: Activision Hajin Tac Map, Official skin. Pins and circle: Wing Mait. The dashed circle is where Shirasu says to enter; we have no footage that registers the door to a building.

Step 3: the office floor, the door and the armory room

The NETSHIN sign and Korean OFFICE signs show she is in the right building. Sometimes a Lieutenant, whom she calls チャンイ and a community page spells Jang-ui, is on this floor. If he is there, she says take him for the bonus or skip him if it looks hard. With no enemy at the door, she says stealth is possible, but she usually pushes with ammo. Playing solo, she uses doors and cover to keep it smooth. Once the floor is clear she goes down one floor, and the armory room is right there. Look for a door that should be locked but has an NPC standing inside; she says that happens sometimes. Open it with Roze's key and the room is full of weapons and military equipment.

What each of her five runs gave her

Her runs, in order. Weapon names are as shown in her game; other item names are our English renderings of her Japanese labels, and we mark any we could only read from low-resolution frames.

Shirasu's five armory runs. Readings from low-resolution frames are marked.
RunWhat she foundHow it ended
1A green assault rifle, a gold fire-support beacon, a purple gas mask, a recon drone, a second locker with a green weapon and two valuables, a gold THE KRAKEN, a Bomb Glider and a blue weaponNo red weapon or manual. She skipped the Lieutenant on the way out and extracted
2A weapon manual that adds the VEL 46 submachine gun, an M4, a gold THE KRAKEN, a parachute and a medkitExtracted, by parachute off the building
3A blue LMG and a gold THE KRAKEN, after quiet melee takedowns on the office floorOutcome not clear from the frames we read
4A blue shotgun and a blue MAR-9 marksman rifle, a lethal-side recipe, a purple-tier FOB material and a gold THE KRAKENExtracted
5A red ODEN assault rifle and a second red weapon, a Defibrillator field upgrade, two armor items, a medium backpack and a code ledger valuable after the Lieutenant went downFailed to extract, so the red weapons stayed in the raid

Reading the results: five runs is a sample

Her summary is that the gold THE KRAKEN was the dependable find, which she marks on screen as a guaranteed spawn. She says it can bring a helicopter down in two shots and a Deathstalker in four or five, and that it sells for close to 40,000 if sniping isn't for you. Beyond that she lists medium backpacks, fire-support items such as beacons, UAVs and the Bomb Glider, and in five runs one run with red weapons and one with a weapon manual. Whether that is worth the trip is, as she says, a matter of taste, but she thinks it is worth going. Five runs can't tell us drop rates. We read this as one player's early-access sample, and the gold sniper is the only item she saw each time.

Getting out alive: dog tags, sensors and the exit

Her safety notes are short and practical. If you have killed a Lieutenant, don't carry the dog tags while you hold loot, because they put you on the map for other PMCs. The far side of the building has sensor-triggered machine guns and dog-shaped robots, so on a solo run she says don't chase kills, grab what you can and leave. She likes a parachute for the exit, because looting and then jumping off is the quickest way out. In run 5 she reached the extraction, still didn't get out, and lost both red weapons: loot first, exit second. She says players have been sniped by Roze while leaving The Grid, so a way out that keeps DBN Headquarters out of sight is worth planning.

Is this one of the secret loot rooms?

Not one of the four we listed from Incredilags' video, but it is the same idea. Those were key cards you pick up in the world. This is a key that a Lieutenant can carry to a nearby locked location, which matches what our bosses guide reports from Infinity Ward's description of Lieutenant kills. The Hanex Guard Station and the side doors from that guide are in The Grid too, so a Grid run can combine ideas from both guides.

Where this is on our map

We put two pins on the Official skin of our Hajin map. Pin 1 is DBN Headquarters, Roze's rooftop, on Activision's own marker, so we are confident about it. Pin 2 is the Nenshin Tech Complex, and it is area only: a dashed circle on the north-west part of The Grid, where Shirasu says to enter. Activision's map has no Nenshin marker and her footage never shows a door we could register to a building. Pin 1 is the marker, not a surveyed spot on the roof. A note on the name. We use the official map name, Nenshin Tech Complex, as in our Hajin map data, which comes from Activision's official map; the sign inside the building in her video reads NETSHIN.

What we're unsure of

The key's English name. Her game is in Japanese, and we have not found an English page that names it, so Roze's Highrise Armory Key is our translation. The exact building. We know the area, not the door. Drop rates. Seven to ten Roze kills per key and five armory runs are her experience, nothing more. Some item readings. We read her footage at low resolution, so the beacon, recon drone and recipe names are our best reading. Please check her video for the exact labels. The second red weapon in run 5 and its value. The spelling Jang-ui, which comes from one community page.

Why this matters for Wing Mait

A run like this is a chain of things you only see on screen: the boss warning as you approach, the compass banner, the locked door prompt, the loot cards and the extraction summary. Reading that text is what Wing Mait does so it can call out what a squadmate would, while your eyes stay on the door. Wing Mait for MW4 DMZ is in development, and it doesn't read game memory, inject anything or send inputs to the game.
