MW4 Season 1 patch notes: X01 in DMZ, Hajin in Warzone
Season 1 went live on 6 November 2026. We read the official Modern Warfare 4 and Warzone notes and the 2 November update, cross-checked them against several news sites, and set out below what changes for a DMZ player first, then what Warzone on Hajin means, then a short multiplayer summary. We have not played Season 1, so nothing here is tested.

The short version
Season 1 for Modern Warfare 4 went live on 6 November 2026, at midnight Eastern, which was 9 PM Pacific on 5 November. For DMZ the new place is X01, an underground facility that the official notes call a newly discovered GRANIT Arms site, reached through Hajin. It brings new Orders, new threats and equipment, a Forward Base vendor that sells weapons and gear for DMZ cash, updated Boss Board intel with new Lieutenants and a new Commander, and a changed 3D Printer. Most of X01 is still marked classified, so we describe only what is stated. For Warzone, Hajin becomes a battle royale map. The official Warzone blog says it covers the same region as DMZ Hajin with largely the same points of interest, and lists four differences that matter to anyone using our map; we set them out below. Before launch, a smaller update on 2 November already changed what DMZ players feel first: fewer UAV Towers, a longer Sedative Inhaler and a shorter Truce Flag cooldown.

How to read this page
The official pages are the Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 patch notes from Infinity Ward, the Warzone Season 1 patch notes from Raven Software, the Warzone Season 1 blog, the Season 1 announcement blog, and the 2 November block on the launch patch notes page. The Modern Warfare 4 page has two parts, additional updates dated 5 November and the Season 1 launch notes, and parts of the Warzone notes are marked as in development, so details can still move. Where a fact comes only from a news site we say it is reported. Where two sources give different names, dates or numbers we show both in a table further down. We link the official pages in the source briefing, and we do not copy any site's text or images.
What changes for a DMZ player
X01 first. The notes call it a new Exclusion Zone with its own areas, threats, equipment and DMZ Orders, and keep further intel classified. The announcement blog adds that Ghost guides the new Orders, that extraction points close as a run goes on, and that X01 holds equipment found nowhere else. It also says squads can infiltrate a sealed Deep Vault. News sites go further and place that vault at the bottom of the facility and compare the intensity to Building 21 from the 2022 DMZ; we treat the placement and the comparison as reported, not official. Bosses next. The notes promise a Boss Board with new Lieutenant and Commander information. The announcement names two Lieutenants, Tae-Hyun and Chol-Min, and two Commanders: the Captain, a Juggernaut with an elite guard who is found in X01, and a patrolling autonomous Wheelson. Threat Briefing: Battle Tank is the one event the notes list as live: destroy Battle Tank threats on Hajin, then loot and exfil the armor fragments for rewards. Wager Match is listed as coming soon, and the announcement describes a Captain briefing and a Resupply Run as well. Finally the Forward Base. There is a new Battle Pass and store station, a vendor that sells weapons and gear for DMZ cash, and a new 3D Printer whose details the notes keep classified. The announcement ties the vendor to BlackCell; the notes do not say so. The additional updates also say FOB vendors, recipes and assembly requirements were updated, so please treat any recipe or printer farming advice from before Season 1 as possibly out of date.

The 2 November update
The first DMZ changes of the season came on 2 November, before launch, in the dated block on the official launch patch notes page. UAV Tower spawns are now randomized and reduced by 40%. A tower at every point of interest is no longer guaranteed and two towers cannot spawn in the same area, except that Deadtown keeps its tower because DMZ Orders need it. The Sedative Inhaler now lasts twice as long, which makes it easier to stay hidden from towers, but it still does not hide you from towers switched on by enemy Operators with the UAV Upgrade trait; Infinity Ward plans a fix for that in a Season 1 update. The Truce Flag cooldown drops from 180 to 60 seconds. The same block fixes UAV Tower objective status after a recapture or with the Extended Duration trait, retired Active Duty Operators not saving, SAM Sites that could not be captured after another squad abandoned or failed the capture, and Bounty progress resetting between deployments. It closes several exploits and names none of them. Elsewhere on the page the JOKR Launcher Infrared mode is switched off for now.
| Change | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| UAV Tower spawns | A tower at every point of interest | Randomized, 40% fewer, none guaranteed except Deadtown |
| Sedative Inhaler duration | 60 s | 120 s |
| Truce Flag cooldown | 180 s | 60 s |
Other DMZ changes in the 5 November notes
The Season 1 notes carry a long list of DMZ fixes. These are the ones most likely to touch advice you have read elsewhere, in the notes' own order of topic rather than importance.
| Area | What the notes say |
|---|---|
| Possum | Enemy squads must now be 2.5 times farther away before it activates, and the failsafe timer goes from 4 to 5 minutes. |
| Supplied Drops | They now apply to Dynamic Operations crates, and the chance of an extra container rises from 25% to 50%. |
| Sedative Inhaler | A bug that stopped it being used while holding a Knife is fixed. |
| Banks | Battery spawn rates at Banks are reduced. |
| Colossus | A Colossus that spawned at the Military Base before the Armory opened is fixed. |
| Lieutenants and Commanders | They no longer walk away instead of executing a downed player; several burn animation and Boss Board display bugs are fixed. |
| Crossfire | Damage against vehicles is increased, more so against tanks. |
| Vehicle kills | Weapon XP from vehicle kills against enemy AI is lowered; Operator kill XP is unchanged. |
| Hajin vehicles | RHIB boats no longer spawn on top of each other on the shoreline, and tanks no longer bounce over Razor Wire. |
| Exploits and the FOB | Various duplication exploits are fixed, and FOB vendors, recipes and assembly requirements are updated. No details are given. |
Warzone on Hajin, and our Hajin map
Warzone Season 1 brings Modern Warfare 4 into Warzone. Hajin is the new large battle royale map, spanning North and South Korea with 13 major points of interest, including the 14th Political Prison, Chang-san Air Base and Deadtown. The official blog links it to the campaign story. Each match picks one of six weather scenarios at random, with clear skies the most likely at 30%, and Hajin has a new Gulag with two arena layouts that the weather reaches. Massive Resurgence, a limited-time mode for up to 120 players, runs on Hajin; that figure is in the official blog. Is it the map on our Hajin page? Largely, not entirely. The official Warzone blog says Warzone and DMZ share the region and largely the same points of interest, and lists four differences: the Edge Circle and the gas move differently, there is no radioactive cloud at the Hanuel Nuclear Reactor, the available vehicles differ, and interactable objects and loot caches are distributed differently. So our Hajin map still shows you where the places are. It covers the DMZ version, and our routes, keys and loot layers are DMZ material; we have not compared the two maps ourselves and do not claim any of them carries over to Warzone.

Zodiac, Verdansk and the rest of Warzone
Zodiac is the new Resurgence map, a compact site built around the DRC Advanced Systems drone factory, with ten points of interest and moving trains at Trackline. Verdansk and Rebirth Island return later in Season 1; no date is given. New modes include Rally Point, a 20-player mode on Zodiac with no gas circle and drop-in play, and Loaded Resurgence for 44 players. Resurgence gains Drop Kits and a Weapon Trade Station, and the notes add Grind for Royalty challenges, weapon augments, Ground Ops, new perks and equipment, and a faster circle schedule. Warzone arrives on Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 4 and Xbox One support ends. Private Match is off for the season. The notes also begin enforcement against the Warzone Agent tool: players who keep it running lose access to Multiplayer, while Campaign is unaffected.
Multiplayer and weapons, briefly
Multiplayer gets two new 6v6 maps, Backstab and Canyon, plus Shoot House returning in a new setting and a Kill Block: Crash playlist. Grind and Drop Zone return, and a Gauntlet 1v1 playlist arrives with the Wager Match event. The two launch weapons are the Cronen Osprey assault rifle and the CSG-35 submachine gun, and the notes carry a long balance list covering assault rifles, SMGs, LMGs, shotguns, marksman rifles and a pistol. Hardcore maximum health drops from 30 to 22. The Battle Pass is a linear 100-tier track with an automatic catch-up. Season 1 Reloaded follows mid-season with more maps and modes; for exact numbers, read the official notes.
Where the sources disagree
Most of the differences are small, but a few change what you should trust. We show both sides and do not pick one.

| Launch date | The 2 November notes: Thursday 5 November at 9 PM Pacific. | The announcement: 6 November at midnight Eastern. This is the same moment. |
| MW4 weapon count | The Warzone blog says 33 launch weapons. | A reading of the Warzone notes gave roughly 32. |

What we have not confirmed, and where Wing Mait fits
We have not played Season 1. We have not confirmed how X01 is entered, what the Deep Vault holds, what the new 3D Printer changes, how the new Commanders behave, or whether any route or Colossus step still works. We have not compared the Warzone and DMZ versions of Hajin ourselves. The notes list only what the studios chose to list, so a missing item is not proof that nothing changed. Reading on-screen text is what Wing Mait does. DMZ support is in development, and Wing Mait does not read game memory, inject anything or send inputs to the game.
